Aspergillus flavus is a plant pathogenic fungus which produces the carcinogenic mycotoxin aflatoxin and acts as an economic burden both within the United States and globally. It has recently been discovered to go through the sexual cycle, but little is known about the way this influences the genomic landscape. To understand genetic heritability in A. flavus, we sequenced three populations composed of the two parental strains and approximately 70 F1 progeny strains with double digest restriction associated DNA sequencing and aligned them to the Aspergillus oryzae RIB40 reference genome to identify SNP markers.

黄曲霉(Aspergillus flavus)是一种植物致病真菌,能够产生致癌性毒素黄曲霉毒素,对美国乃至全球经济造成了沉重的负担。近期研究表明,黄曲霉能够经历有性周期,然而关于其如何影响基因组景观的知识仍然相当匮乏。为了探究黄曲霉(A. flavus)的遗传可遗传性,我们对包含两个亲本菌株以及大约70个F1代子代菌株的三个种群进行了测序,采用双酶切限制性片段长度多态性分析技术,并将序列与糙米曲霉(Aspergillus oryzae)RIB40参考基因组进行比对,以识别单核苷酸多态性标记。
