Firewise Communities

The Firewise USA point layer represents communities and neighborhoods across the United States that have achieved Firewise USA® recognition through the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Firewise USA® recognized sites are locations where residents have voluntarily organized to assess wildfire risk, develop mitigation action plans, and implement ongoing activities to reduce wildfire hazards. The data reflects the location of recognized sites at the time of publication and supports visualization, planning, and analysis related to community wildfire preparedness.
