Dataset & Results for "Regional drought impacts drive telecoupled land change through international agricultural trade"

This dataset supports the analysis of the manuscript "Regional drought impacts drive telecoupled land change through international agricultural trade" accepted in Environmental Research Letters on June 24, 2026, which assesses US-Brazil telecouplings through the international soybean trade using SIMPLE-G. This repository contains the necessary code scripts and datasets to replicate our findings and is ordered in the appropriate file structure to conduct this analysis. See the GitHub repository linked below for the most recent changes. Version notes: v1.0 is the version initially submitted to ERL. v1.1 includes the exact same source data and scripts but with very minor changes to scripts 3a and 3c which help correctly format the dot plot (3a) and line plot (3c). This version reflects all changes made to the GitHub repository up to and including July 1, 2026.
