This study was carried out to explore for the first time the UAE mangrove sludge for novel and efficient bacteria for bioremediation.the 1A6 bacterial strain constituting the consortia C1 and C3 that were found to improve dye decolorization (CR and TB) and Eps degradation (paracetamol) was further selected for whole genome sequencing.1A6 is not assigned to any previously recognized species. The combined genotypic and phenotypic data showed that strain 1A6 represents a novel species, for which the name KUM1A6 is proposed.
