Effect of Cth or Slc7a11 deletion on the composition of the gut microbiome in C57BL/6 mice

Feces in the colon were harvested from wild type, Cth KO, and Slc7a11 KO mice in the C57BL/6 background (n=5 per genotype). Fecal genomic DNA was extracted using the QIAamp Fast DNA Stool Mini Kit (Qiagen). DNA was quantified and controlled using Qubit Fluorometric Quantification (Thermo Fisher Scientific) and the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was sequenced with the Illumina MiSeq.
