Interpretation of the exhaustion of rights doctrine in Thai copyright law in comparison with European copyright law on e-books

This independent study research is meant to discover and reveal legal issues concerning exhaustion doctrine in Thai copyright law in comparison with European copyright law. It mainly focuses on current situation of copyright law on exhaustion doctrine, digital goods and legislations concerning exhaustion doctrine. Legislations describe and explain how each nation apply exhaustion doctrine on digital goods such as E-books. As a result, I’ve found that there is still a gap which can be filled, in order to improve the usage of exhaustion doctrine by studying backgrounds and interpretation of law in each regime.Amendment of law should be considered as it can be applied in order to contribute to the development of digital realm in accordance with copyright law, and in connection with exhaustion doctrine.
