About This Study
This study explores interpersonal conflicts during code review across the following areas:
- What these conflicts are like
- What roles they play in software development
- What their consequences are
- What factors contribute to their occurrence and severity
- What strategies can be used to prevent and manage these conflicts

Methods
This study collected 22 interviews with developers. Using qualitative thematic analysis, the authors analyzed the anonymous interviews to understand the forms and contexts of interpersonal conflicts during code review, as well as potential strategies for preventing and managing these conflicts. The analysis was conducted using the qualitative analysis software NVivo 12. To support the validity of the analysis, it was revised through an "audit trail"-like process. The analysis, research methods, and results were reviewed by a senior researcher within the research team. The documents included in the audit are also contained in this folder.

Audit Trail
An audit trail is a procedure for validating the results of qualitative analysis. It requires researchers to provide detailed information to auditors outside the analysis on how they conducted the analysis. The goal of a formal audit is to examine the process and products of the investigation and determine the credibility of the findings. This folder contains the documents used to perform the research audit trail.

Audit Objectives
The objectives of the audit are:
- Familiarize oneself with the methods and results of the analysis and the relevant documents
- Review whether the analysis results adequately represent the data
- Review whether the analysis does not contradict existing software engineering knowledge unless well-supported
- Review whether the results are useful to the community
- Identify and address issues and shortcomings in the analysis documents
