The aim of this research was to determine the abundances of heavy metal resistance genes and antibiotics resistance genes in soil.The qualified DNA samples were split, and double-end libraries were constructed using Covaris M220 (China Genetics Ltd). Double-end sequencing was performed on Illumina Hiseq Xten (Illumina USA) at Majorbio Biomedical Technology Co. Paired Illumina reads were trimmed on the adapter and low-quality reads (length < 50 bp or quality value < 20 or N bases) were removed by fastp. Macrogenomic data were assembled using MEGAHIT (https: // github.com / voutcn / megahit), and the MetaGene was selected to predict open reading frames (ORFs). Representative sequences from the non-redundant gene catalog were aligned with the NCBI NR database. Taxonomic annotation was performed using Diamond (http://www.diamondsearch.org/index.php). The ARDB database (http://ardb.cbcb.umd.edu/) was selected to annotate antibiotic resistance genes.
