Complete acid digestion of refractory chromite grains for accurate trace element analysis

We developed a complete acid digestion method for refractory chromite grains. To evaluate the effects of particle size and digestion procedure, the experimental dataset comprises four groups: (1) initial powder subjected to the conventional method, (2) ultrafine powder subjected to the conventional method, (3) initial powder subjected to the improved method, and (4) ultrafine powder subjected to the improved method. This design allows for a direct comparison of their impacts on chromite dissolution efficiency and the accuracy of subsequent trace element analysis. Additionally, the particle sizes of the initial and ultrafine powders were characterized and compared.
