Supporting Information for: Tectonosedimentary Evolution of the Middle-Late Miocene Alto Maipo Basin (Principal Cordillera, 34°S)
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the complete supplementary dataset supporting the study on the tectonosedimentary evolution of the Middle–Late Miocene Alto Maipo Basin (Principal Cordillera, ~34°S). The dataset integrates paleocurrent measurements, analytical tables, and supporting documentation used in the interpretation of synorogenic sedimentation and basin evolution. The repository includes three main data tables (Tables SD1–SD3) provided in spreadsheet format. Table SD1 compiles paleocurrent measurements derived from imbricated clasts of the Los Lunes Formation, including directional data used to construct rose diagrams and mean vector calculations. These data reveal a wide dispersion of flow directions, indicating complex sediment routing systems within the basin . Tables SD2 and SD3 contain complementary analytical datasets (e.g., geochronological results and associated parameters), which underpin the temporal and stratigraphic framework discussed in the study. Additionally, the repository includes a supporting document (TextSD1) that provides methodological details and context for the paleocurrent analysis. This document describes the generation of rose diagrams using Stereonet software and presents graphical outputs for multiple stations, illustrating spatial variability in flow directions across the basin (see figures on pages 2–3) . Together, these datasets provide the quantitative basis for reconstructing sediment dispersal patterns, constraining depositional processes, and supporting the tectonic interpretation of the Alto Maipo Basin as a synorogenic system developed during Andean contraction.
