PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace beam for suppressing bending of a beam material of a wooden building by dead weight thereof or weight of a roof. SOLUTION: A brace beam has a structure of reinforcing a beam material arranged to bridge between one columnar material of a wooden building and another adjacent columnar material， and has a reinforcement with both ends held between the one columnar material and the other columnar material and curved so that the central part comes into contact with a lower face of the beam material， and a spacer inserted into a gap formed between the reinforcement and the beam material by curving downward both end sides of the reinforcement.
