Suplementary data of the paper "Designing an Inter-Vehicle Wired Charging System for a Platoon Mobility Application". Abstract—New mobility concepts using autonomous electric vehicles motivate to fundamentally rethink charging concepts. In platoon-based mobility, where vehicles travel in a connected group, inter-vehicle charging has a potential to improve energy management for all vehicles. Although the redistribution of energy during platooning can extend the achievable range despite limited battery size, it also introduces complex design challenges, as many factors must be considered to identify favourable solutions. In this paper, the design of inter-vehicle charging systems is explored and discussed. Following the proposed methodology, a prototype charging system for a platoon was developed, and its performance is demonstrated based on measurements.
