资源简介:
Plant viruses maintain intricate interactions with their vector/or non-vector insects, and can impact fitness of insects. The Schizaphis graminum is a vector of Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus GAV strains (BYDV-GAV) and non-vector of wheat dwarf virus (WDV, transmitted by the leafhopper Psammotettix alienus (Dahlbom)). The Rhopalosiphum padi is the non-vector of neither BYDV nor WDV. The vector treatment was defined as Schizaphis graminum fed on BYDV-infected wheat (Sg-BYDV), the non-vector treatment was defined as Schizaphis graminum fed on WDV-infected wheat and Rhopalosiphum padi fed on BYDV-GAV-infected, WDV-infected wheat (Sg-WDV, Rp-BYDV, Rp-WDV). In this study, we investigated the transcriptome-level responses associate with the wheat viruses (BYDV-GAV and WDV) infection in S.graminum and R. padi using an Illumina HiSeq sequencing platform. Our results revealed that the plants infected with viruses impact larger on vector than on non-vector.
