Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV) can infect a wide range of fruit and herbaceous plants. Here, we report a new isolate of ASGV from Citrus medica (ASGV-JH) in Jinhua City, Zhejiang province, China, and reveal that it belongs to the genus Capillovirus in the family Betaflexiviridae. This is the first report of the infection of C. medica by ASGV.
