Soil samples from sites 420a545 and 420a791 in northeastern Utah were analyzed for
pollen, starch, and/or macrofloral remains. Site 420a545 represents a Late Archaic and Fremont
hunting camp and shallow rock shelter, while 420a791 is a Fremont and Late Prehistoric campsite
with numerous brush structures. Pollen, starch, and macrofloral analyses are used to provide
information concerning plant resources utilized by the various occupants of these sites.
