VPRS 15603 Register of Inward Correspondence, Inspector of Rabbit Extermination

The Department of Crown Lands and Survey (VA 538) was for a considerable length of time the responsible agency for the control and extermination of vermin and noxious weeds. This series consists of a register of the inward correspondence to the Inspector of Rabbit Extermination.Details given are the date, the alpha-numeric registered correspondence number as centrally allocated in VPRS 166 Alphabetical Registers of Inwards Correspondence (Refer to Microfilm Copy, VPRS 228), the name of the correspondent, the subject of the letter, the minutes of reference and how the correspondence was disposed of. Subjects of correspondence are the most effective means for the destruction of rabbits, the discussion of possible prosecutions and matters to do with the employment of exterminators and the administration of the program of rabbit extermination.
