This is the full copy of the current state (as of 30 Sept. 2017) of our project digitising all of the paper notes of New Zealand Lepidopterist Brian Patrick. Since 1970, Brian has kept lists of every moth species that has visited his light traps. He has done light trapping at thousands of sites all through New Zealand, especially in the south.<br><br>We are preparing publications from this work now. If you find this data useful for your research, please consider including us as authors.<br><br>The cleaned core of this data is publicly available at http://naturewatch.org.nz/projects/brian-patrick-s-moths-and-butterflies-of-new-zealand<br><br>The dataset here is a CSV export of our full database. It includes observations with taxonomic and geographic issues that are still to be resolved. We will intermittently update this as the dataset is polished and expanded.<br>
