Status and Binary Maps for <i>Pterocles alchata </i>and <i>P. orientalis </i>in Spain (2005-2022)

This dataset contains spatial and quantitative data summarizing the status of habitats and populations for two species (<i>P. alchata</i> and <i>P. orientalis</i>), as well as a sandgrouse status file. The dataset includes:<b>Sandgrouse_Status.rar</b> – A shapefile summarizing the overall population status for sandgrouse.<b>Binary_P_alchata.rar</b> – Binary maps for <i>P. alchata</i>, representing presence/absence across the study area.<b>Binary_P_orientalis.rar</b> – Binary maps for <i>P. orientalis</i>, representing presence/absence across the study area.The binary maps have been used to calculate <b>class-level landscape metrics</b>, including:<b>AREA_MN</b> – Mean patch area<b>ED</b> – Edge density<b>LPI</b> – Largest patch index<b>NP</b> – Number of patches<b>CA</b> – Total class areaFinally, sectors have also been identified:<b>RegSect</b> – Regional sector identifier
