This thesis develops methodology to test the biomarkers from infectious diseases using studying chemical fingerprints. Raman spectroscopy is used to distinguish and analyze the safety of vaccine corona like particles with original virus, and to track the malarial pigment inside the immune cells. We also develop magnetic micro robots made up of magnetic silver nanoparticles to trap and that pull out and strongly amplify malaria signals, enabling sensitive, rapid testing without complex sample preparation.
