Pollination visitation to annuals and shrubs in the Mojave Desert, 2015 and 2016

Data was collected as a test of the magnet hypothesis and pollinator facilitation. The effect of an animal-pollinated shrub (Larrea tridentata) and a wind-pollinated shrub (Ambrosia dumosa) on the pollination of an annual phytometer species Malacothrix glabrata. Specifically, pollinator visitation and duration of visit were recorded using cameras. Additionally, the reciprocal effect of the presence of annuals on the pollination of Larrea tridentata was also tested. Pollinator visitation and duration were recorded in-situ by two researchers.
