This genome was sequenced and assembled for a study of phylogeography and leapfrog color variation in Superciliaried Hemispingus (Thlypopsis superciliaris). Furthermore, this genome serves as a resource for future studies of tanagers, the most speciose family of birds. Briefly, a single Chromium 10x linked-read library was prepared. We used the Chromium Genome Chip Kit v2 and GT Gel Bead Kit to generate gel beads in emulsion (GEMs). Following GEM cleanup, libraries were prepared and amplified using the Chromium Genome Library Kit v2. Finally, libraries were sequenced with 125 bp paired-end reads on a partial lane of an Illumina 2500v4 high output flowcell in the Bauer Core facility, Harvard University.
