资源简介:
Water quality includes the physical, biological, and chemical characteristics of the water. At the same time, dissolved oxygen in the water plays a crucial role in the growth of fish.Since fish have an aerobic metabolism and need dissolved oxygen (DO) at efficient levels, DO is a major limiting factor in fish farming. Moreover, hypoxia significantly alters fish physiological and immunological responses, increasing their vulnerability to illness. The liver is the center of energy metabolism of fish and an important excreta organ, which plays an important role in the adaptation of aquatic organisms, including fish, to hypoxia. In this study, the hypoxia tolerance threshold was established for the first time through hypoxia exposure in silver pomfret. Histopathological analysis was performed on the slices, oxidative stress indexes were evaluated by enzyme activity data, and their pathways were explored by transcriptomic data analysis. Therefore, more consideration should be given to DO levels in order to prevent disease outbreaks in contemporary aquaculture production systems where fish are crowded and concentrated.
