Seed coat color in Brassica napus is a complex quantitative trait, and its inheritance mechanism is still insufficient. In this study, we firstly generated two high-quality chromosomegenome assemblies (Black-seeded ZY821 and Yellow-seeded GH06). Meanwhile, we employed 3 mapping population including 3017 lines to map the major quantitative trait locus (QTL) for seed coat color.
