Fungal metagenome of soil amended with organic waste

Soil organic matter is composed of organic substances from living organisms, including organic waste, which are introduced into thesoil environment and then are decomposed. Soil organic matter decomposition involve microorganisms, including fungi, which areimportant in the degradation of waste in the soil environment. The aim of this study was to characterize and compare fungal communities in soil under long-term amendments with spent mushroomsubstrate (SMS) and chicken manure (CM). The composition of soil fungal community was analyzed ITS1 gene by next generation sequencing (NGS) using MiSeq Illumina platform.
