California Highway Patrol Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) Data 2022

This dataset contains Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) stop data reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) for stops made within Shasta County during 2022. CA DOJ provides the statewide data for CHP in quarterly files. Shasta County data was extracted based on the "nearest location" field assigned to each stop. This includes data for stops made within cities in Shasta County as well as stops labeled as occurring in unincorporated areas of Shasta County.

The dataset provides details about each stop, including the perceived race, ethnicity, gender, and age of individuals stopped, the reason for the stop, actions taken, and the stop’s outcome. The data is in Excel format.
