National Travel Survey 2001, daily travels

This dataset is from the "National Travel Survey 2001". The background for the survey was Stortingets decision to conduct a national travel survey every fourth year (St meld nr. 32 1995-96).

Data on the populations travel activities is relevant for national and local transport planning. The results are used as foundation for development of transport models, forecast work, exposure calculations in traffic security work and an array of research and development work. National travel surveys are also important as background to evaluate results from examinations of specific means of transport or in specific geographic regions.

In total, the datasett consists of four files: Person file, daily travels, long travels, and cars.
