LAKERA Dataset: Annual parameters for Indian lakes, 2001 to 2021
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the lake-level input data for LAKERA (Lake Evaluation and Ranking Algorithm), a satellite-based framework for relative screening and prioritisation of lakes. It accompanies the paper “Climate-zone specific stressors shape widespread lake vulnerability across India: evidence from a 20-year satellite-based assessment” by Kumar Nitish and J. Indu (Indian Institute of Technology Bombay). The dataset covers 14,308 Indian lakes larger than 0.05 km² for 2001 to 2021. It contains annual values of nine parameters for each lake: lake water surface area, water clarity (Forel-Ule Index), lake water surface temperature, air temperature, evaporation, precipitation, and barren, urban and vegetated land area within a 5 km buffer around each lake. Parameters were derived from Landsat 5, 7 and 8, MODIS MCD12Q1, CHIRPS and ERA5-Land using Google Earth Engine. lake_parameters_2001_2021.csv: annual parameter values, one row per lake per year (300,468 rows) lake_attributes.csv: lake location, district, state, polygon area and Köppen-Geiger climate zone (14,332 lakes) README.md: column descriptions, units, data-quality notes and instructions The files are linked by Lake_id. Missing values are left empty and make up less than 3.5% of observations for every parameter. The Human Development Index, the tenth LAKERA parameter, is not redistributed here. It can be obtained from the gridded dataset of Sherman et al. (2023) at https://www.mosaiks.org/hdi and extracted at each lake location.
