资源简介:
The escalating prevalence of sleep deprivation, compounded by heightened concerns regarding sleep quality, is predominantly propelled by stress and lifestyle adjustments, particularly evident in low-income communities. Poor sleep quality, prevalent within these communities, exacerbates health issues and diminishes overall quality of life. This study, conducted within the low-income B40 community, seeks to examine sleep quality and its determinants to inform targeted interventions aimed at improving health outcomes and well-being. In February 2024, a cross-sectional study was undertaken within the Seri Pantai community to investigate the prevalence and factors associated with sleep quality. The sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) with the anxiety and depression level was measured using Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) and Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9P). Association between sleep quality and sociodemographic factors, vaping profile and mental health status were analysed using chi-square while the predictors of sleep quality was made using logistic regression. with a significance level set at p < 0.05.
