PMseq pathogen microorganism high-throughput gene detection is based on metagenomics technology. It extracts the nucleic acids of all microorganisms in the infection specimens, undergoes different sample pretreatment, and is sequenced on BGI's self-developed high-throughput sequencing platform. Through comparison with the high-quality and high-standard clinical-level database PMDB and multiple patented intelligent bioinformatics analysis algorithms, it obtains the genus and species information of suspected pathogenic microorganisms. It can detect 17,500 types of pathogens including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites in one unbiased test, significantly improving the positive rate of pathogen diagnosis, guiding the targeted use of antibiotics in clinical practice, and assisting in the precise diagnosis and treatment of infections.
