RNASeq analysis of murine bone marrow derived macrophages (BMDMs)

Macrophages can adapt and change various activation states. Pro-inflammatory macrophages are induced by stimulation with LPS or IFNy whereas repair macrophages are induced by stimulation with IL4/IL13. However, due to their plasticity macrophages might adapt several activation states including inflammatory- and repair-like activation states as well as intermediate activation states which are associated with distinct gene expression patterns. Overall design: Here we analyse murine bone marrow derived macrophages (BMDMs) which have been untreated, treated with IL4/IL13, or IL4/IL13+TNFa. For each treatment condition we analyzed six replicates for a total of 18 samples by bulk RNASeq.
