Transcription Factor (TF)EB mediates a mTORC1OFF-induced ECM degradation program of breast cancer cells

We show that mTORC1 repression in breast cancer cells potentiates an invadopodia-based metastatic program mTORC1 is central to nutrient sensing and controls endolysosomal biogenesis and exocytosis. To identify genes dysregulated upon mTORC1 repression, we silenced the mTORC1 tethering factor, RagC, in the human MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell line. Two independent siRNAs againt RagC were used. We then performed RNA-sequencing to have a comparative analysis of gene expression.
