Monthly Surface Water Extent in the Yangtze Plain

The dataset refers to the monthly surface water extent in the Yangtze Plain with a spatial resolution of 10 m from January 2016 to December 2020 from Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 images. The accuracy assessment result demonstrated that MSWE outperformed in accuracy with OA of 94.8% and F1 90.2%. The dataset are constructed with 60 monthes results of estimated surface water extent. Each month has two GeoTIFF tiles and the filename of each tile is in the form (YYYYMM-yMin-xMin) where xMin and yMin are the coordinates of each tile within the overall bounding box of the exported image. This dataset benifits to the related decision-maker and stakeholderes.The dataset was generated based on the Google Earth Engine and are available at figshare.
