This series comprises the agenda, minutes and reports presented at the meetings of the V/Line Workshops Management Board.The Workshops Group was a semi- autonomous unit of Technical Services Division with its own Board of Management. The Workshops Management Board -responsible to the State Authority Board for the administration and management of the railway workshops at Newport, Ballarat and Bendigo and the Electrical Workshops "A" and "B" at Melbourne- was appointed in 1984.The Workshops Board had responsibility for providing a cost-efficient, effective overhaul, repair and manufacturing service for rail, tram and bus fleets and associated infrastrastructure.
