The series documented the functions of the Project Management Department, Engineering and Development Branch: the Department was responsible for the management of operations and engineering projects for the Division. This included the planning, co-ordination and managing of projects for which works packages were carried out.Each Project Manager was responsible for the control of cost and time on each project. He headed a project team formed from the technical or operational departments for each project.
