Heart transplants in Brazil 2013-2023

In 2023, 424 heart transplants were performed in Brazil, up from the 359 interventions reported a year earlier and highest number reported in the period analyzed. This figure sunk to  after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of 2021, approximately 392 people were waiting for a heart transplant in the South American country.
