Study of Bird Records Committees in Canada and the United States: Research Data

An Excel spreadsheet / CSV file containing the results of interviews and surveys conducted in 2024 of representatives from state and provincial bird records committees (BRCs) across the United States and Canada. The intention of the study, which received ethics approval from the University of Lethbridge, was to investigate the current constitution, composition, affiliations, and adjudication practices of BRCs.

Personal identifiable information is intentionally included in the public dataset. This was approved in the ethics process as well as by each participant in the study.

Also, the bylaws and similar documents from 42 BRCs collected through the project, shared with permission.
