Geological mapping in the northern part of the Blue Glacier, Ferrar Glacier, Taylor Valley and at specific localities in the Wright Valley

Detailed geological mapping was completed in the northern part of the Blue Glacier, Ferrar Glacier, Taylor Valley and at specific localities in the Wright Valley. The sites visited include the Arth Allan Thomas Hills, the Overflow Glacier region, Decent Pass, Kitticararra and Overflow Glaciers area, the Mt Barne area, Peak 1004 and the Howard Glacier, Cathedral Rocks and Dun Glacier region, the north side of Ferrar Glacier to the west of Sentinel Peak, Mt Lister, the Dais in the Wright Valley and Lake Vida in the Victoria Valley to compare granites, the basement geology between the Kukri Hills, Cavendish Rocks and Windy Gully, the Upper Taylor Valley and the middle Wright Valley to study Olympus Granite gneiss, the Asgard Formation and their relationship to Dais granite.
