This dataset was generated in aim to evaluate whether differences in developmental dynamics can be leveraged to reduce female contamination in mass mosquito production. Wild-type and yellow-based genetic sexing strain (GSS) Aedes albopictus were reared in triplicate under high-density conditions and monitored daily for pupation over a 10-day period starting from pupation onset. The dataset includes cumulative counts of pupae, sex-assigned for each of the six replicates. It also contains calculated metrics including pupation delay, bimaturism index, male recovery rate, and female contamination rate.These data correspond to the plots shown in Figure 6 of the study associated with this entry
