Seasonal dynamics of phytoplankton assemblages reveal shifting dominance of bottom-up and top-down controls in a temperate ice-covered lake
收藏资源简介:
Sampling Period:Data were collected during four distinct seasons in 2020: • Winter (January 2020) • Spring (April 2020) • Summer (July 2020) • Autumn (October 2020) Sampling was conducted across 26 sites within Lianhuan Lake, ensuring a comprehensive representation of seasonal changes in phytoplankton community structure and environmental conditions. These seasonal snapshots provide valuable insights into the dynamic interactions between phytoplankton, environmental factors, and zooplankton grazing. Dataset Details: • Phytoplankton community data (species abundance, biomass) • Environmental variables (e.g., temperature, pH, total phosphorus, nitrogen, dissolved oxygen) • Zooplankton grazing data (rotifer and copepod abundance) The data collected across these four seasons allow for a robust analysis of the seasonal succession of phytoplankton communities in relation to environmental variations and trophic interactions.
