资源简介:
These data describe soil salinity data from cores collected between transects to assess whether soil salinity varied by pot size or elevation at the San Dieguito Wetlands (Del Mar, California). In the high marsh (2.0 - 2.1 m MLLW), soil cores were collected between transects of three common salt marsh species (Arthrocnemum subterminale, Frankenia salina, Limonium californicum) planted with the same pot sizes (small, medium or large) to assess whether soil salinity varied with different sized nursery-grown plantings. For Salicornia pacifica plantings (small pot sizes only), soil cores were collected between transects in the mid marsh (1.6 - 1.8 m MLLW) and high (2.0 - 2.1 m MLLW) marsh to assess whether soil salinity varied by marsh zone. Soil cores were collected in April, July, and October 2019. Cores were later processed in the lab to produce soil salinity depth profiles by pot size, species, and elevation.
