资源简介:
These data and code are from Bigman et al. (2018) Journal of Morphology and include the raw gill surface area and body mass estimates for 12 shark species, the assigned ecological lifestyle traits for each of those 12 species, and the raw gill surface area and associated dimensions (total filament length, average lamellar frequency, and mean bilateral lamellar surface area) as well as body mass for Mustelus californicus examined in this study. Also included is the code for all analyses in the paper.
These data are primarily obtained from Hughes (1972), Hughes et al. (1986), Emery and Sczcepanski (1985), Hata (1993), Wegner et al. (2010), and Wootton et al. (2016). Data were available from more than one study for three species (Common Thresher Shark, Shortfin Mako, and Sandbar Shark). We urge anyone who is using these data to read the original papers to understand the data.

*Cite this figshare and the following if any of the data or code is used:
Bigman JS, Pardo SA, Prinzing TS, Dando M, Wegner NC, Dulvy NK.
