Attitudes towards Jews and Muslims in Norway, 2022: Population survey, minority survey and youth study

This study presents the results of three surveys on attitudes towards Jews and Muslims in Norway in 2022: a population survey, a minority survey, and a youth survey. The mapping of attitudes towards Jews was conducted for the first time in 2011, while the mapping of attitudes towards Muslims was done for the first time in 2017. In 2017, the minority survey was also conducted for the first time.

By repeating the surveys every five years, it has been possible to observe the development of attitudes over time. New to the study in 2022 is a separate survey among young people. This survey covers the same topics as the population survey but delves into the youth's views on acceptable actions and expressions. In addition to the statistical surveys, group interviews with young people were conducted.

The task of conducting the surveys was assigned to HL-senteret - The Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies, by the Ministry of Culture and Equality after a call for proposals in 2020.
