Dataset of coupled coordination degree of urbanization and ecological environment quality in Xinjiang during 2001-2021

In the current context of rapid urban development in Xinjiang, how to balance the relationship between urban expansion and ecological construction has become a key strategic issue for sustainable development in the region. This dataset focuses on analysing the complex interactive coupling relationship between urbanisation and ecology in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) during 2001-2021. In order to deeply understand this relationship, this dataset is based on a Modified Remote Sensing Ecological Environment Index (M-RSEI) level 1 nighttime light data, which is generated using IDL batch processing technique, with a spatial resolution of 1000 m, and in tiff format. the accuracy is verified by using China's high-quality ecological environment quality dataset, and the results of the validation show that this data has a high accuracy. This dataset can provide important scientific basis and suggestions for the construction of ecological environment civilisation and urbanization in Xinjiang.
