These data, for understanding the hydrometeorological environment, taken as the basis for the study of development and formation process of Tsho Rolpa glacier lake.
Tsho RoIpa glacier Lake(27o51’N, 86o29'E)is located at 110km east-north of Kathmandu and developed on the terminus of the Trakarding Glacier (or Lower Trambau Glacier), Rolwaling Valley, eastern Nepal. The drainage area including the lake surface is 77.6km2 with the 71.8% glacier coverage; 55.3% and 16.5% are occupied by debris-free and debris-covered glacier, respectively (Yamada, 1996).the lake surface area and volume were 1.39 km2 and 77.6 million m3 in 1994, respectively(Kadota, 1994).
