To characterize viral diversity and functional roles in thermokarst ponds in sub-arctic regions. These ponds are important sources of methane and the overall viral components, including those potentially involved in the cycling of methane, are unknown up till now. This project can be linked to other projects in the same sites (e.g. CCIN 11673).
