The extraction of metabolites from the Panchagavya was carried out using two methods: multi-solvent and aqueous. In the multi-solvent method, methanol, acetonitrile, and water were used in the ratios of 2:2:1 as the extraction solvent. About 10 mL of the Panchagavya sample was incubated with 50 mL of extraction solvent for 1 min and sonicated (Misonix Sonicators, USA) for 10 min. After sonication, the sample was centrifuged at 12,000 g for 15 min at 4 °C. Thecresultant supernatant was collected and stored at -20 °C until LC-MS/MS analysis. The resultant supernatant was filtered using a Whatman filter (125mm); the<br>filtrate was then collected and stored at -20 °C until LC-MS/MS analysis.
