The zip file contains 218 time-calibrated trees of tetrapod families. There are amphibians, birds, crocodiles, mammals, squamates, and turtles. The files are Rdata files one can read and use in R as follows: attach("FamilyAmphibiaTrees.Rdata"). The phylogenies are stored in a list containing the family name, the dated tree, and the total number of species in the family. To get the tree, one can do as follows: phylo<-FamilyAmphibiaTrees[[i]][[1]], with i being the number of the family. To get the total number of species and compute the sampling fraction, one can do as follows: f<-Ntip(phylo)/as.numeric(FamilyAmphibiaTrees[[i]][[2]]).
