Examination of the XXXVI Spanish National Chemistry Olympiad (OEQ'2023)

This report presents the problems, solutions, and results of the 2023 Spanish National Chemistry Olympiad (XXXVI OEQ), a nationwide competition for high school students organized by the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Education.

The Spanish National Chemistry Olympiad (OEQ, Olimpiada Española de Química) took place on April 21–23, 2023. The exams were prepared and evaluated in Murcia, Spain, by a scientific committee composed of selected university lecturers.

Participants with the highest scores were awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals. The top-performing students earn the privilege of choosing any science-related degree at the hosting university. They are also considered for the national pre-selection team that will represent Spain at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).
