Fair Access to Government Manuals Project

Section 71 of the Access to Information Act requires federal ministries, crown corporations, and other agencies to make manuals given to employees available at facilities at their headquarters. For most Canadians, the national headquarters are inaccessible. In 2012, a petition to the House of Commons asked that the manuals be posted on-line. The President of the Treasury Board of Canada responded saying that the manuals were accessible through to those who use the Access to Information Act. Manuals here have been acquired here through the Access to Information Act and are made available here in accordance with fair dealing section of the Copyright Act.
