资源简介:
The dataset compiled for this study comprises five components: (1) published neon diffusion coefficients for various feldspar compositions, (2) sample locality information and surface erosion rates derived from previous cosmogenic nuclide measurements on coexisting quartz, (3) major element compositions of the nine orthoclase samples determined by ICP OES, (4) neon isotope data obtained via stepwise heating of the same feldspar separates, and (5) 26Al/10Be concentrations in four paired quartz samples.
These data serve two primary purposes. First, the diffusion coefficients and major element compositions enable calculation of sample specific 21Ne production rates and constrain the appropriate diffusion kinetics for modelling. Second, the erosion rates and exposure durations derived from quartz provide independent conditions for the erosion coupled diffusion model. Together, this integrated dataset allows a rigorous evaluation of the feldspar–cosmogenic 21Ne system as a quantitative paleothermometer.
